Because they seem to want to end the point by the 3rd ball, if not with an outright ace. It's a fair objective, but unless one's got a very good serve-and-attack plan and/or a weak opponent, one cannot simply expect to ace every serve or kill every 3rd ball. Most of the time you're just going to have to fight for the point, and that's where all your weaknesses get exposed: recovery time, placement, spin, control, mental endurance etc.

Convincing one's self that it's "Just that one mistake" will not lead to improvement. The more who echo that sentiment, the higher the chances of actual improvement.

Heh. Oh well, people are like that. Doubt that even if I was there that they would change though. Fact of the matter is, all of them are not fit enough to even play a proper match. No physical training and yet they wonder why they cant seem to get that last point

You got it, J.TWJ.

It just surprises me that despite having played for so long, these people still maintain that approach. If only you had stayed around for a while longer to knock some sense and discipline into them, 'twas really lacking in the weeks leading up to SC.

I probably know who those people are haha but interesting ain't it that ego still seems to persevere for them. Such was an example by a certain V person's comment in a post where if he lost he would have not been a business player/worse than A and R. One can never be the best if one thinks that they are the best and stops learning/improving ;)

(p/s. You should know who i am and who i'm referring to ;) )

I personally have no experience with any sort of hard rubber, with a Xiom Omega IV Pro (max) being the 'hardest' I've come into contact with. Based on my limited experience, I'd have to say you need to figure out what kind of shots you favour with your forehand. I picked the KSL for a balanced hitting/spinning (not necessarily looping) blade, and the rubber should reflect that approach. It comes down to whether you prefer controlled offense shots or the shots along the lines of Kreanga's backhand shots.

I do agree that the KSL has a fairly good feel for shots, and yep, my backhand is more or less on par with my forehand now, despite being about 3 months' worth of training behind initially. I put it down to having more control as opposed to outright power/speed/spin that many seem to think is the way.
